What to expect with your blooms
- We are a small cut flower business, so there may be instances where we need to be flexible and have your understanding. Weather plays a huge role in our garden, and that is something we cannot control. We will do our best to prepare, but there is always that chance we cannot predict what the weather is going to do to our flowers.
- We are not Amazon, and are not the cheapest or the most convenient in town. But when you support our business, you are supporting a small, local business, as well as bees and butterflies in the area.
- We appreciate word of mouth recommendations, and do take care of our customers that help us grow.
- There may be instances where your flowers wilt early, or don't last the way you anticipated. Let us know, so we can make it right. This will help us learn how to increase the life of the flowers.
Taking care of your blooms
- Put your flowers in lukewarm water as soon as you can.
- Re-cut the stems, at an angle. This helps open the stems up to take on water.
- Remove most of all of the leaves, however, we do most of that for you.
- Mix in flower food packets, or a teaspoon of sugar. This will extend the life of your blooms.
- Don't place your flowers in direct sunlight, as this will cause them to open up and die off faster.
- Remove wilted or spent blooms from the vase.
- Change the water, and re-cut the stems every few days, and add your plant food or sugar back.
- Spritz the blooms with hairspray, this will help your petals from fading faster. (Plus it will add volume and extra hold, haha)
